Sprezzaturra is defined by Merriam-Webster as “studied nonchalance : graceful conduct or performance without apparent effort”. It is the ability to do things while looking like you are hardly trying. The secret to achieving this is both profound and yet quite simple at the same time: not having a strong will, and instead subjugating yourself to the will of God.
The notion of Sprezzaturra comes from the idea that the human being is inherently sinful and that the only true good can come from God. Thus, it is sinful for a human being to overrule God’s will. Doing so will be highly effortful. The opposite, simply going along with God’s will, will make things effortless and easy.
