The paradox of hubris lies in the choices that we make. Hubris is defined as “exaggerated pride or self-confidence” by Merriam-Webster. The question is, what causes that excessive pride? Is it a lack of self-awareness, or a desire to tip the world off its balance? It can only be one of these two options, because anything else would not be logical.
